Allen’s Freckles are a creamy chocolate button coated with colourful ‘100’s and 1000’s’. These bite sized creamy-crunchy discs were introduced in the early 60s, and the iconic buttons remain a popular snack and cake decoration throughout Australia and New Zealand to this day.

Allen’s Freckles are available in small and large pouches, tubs, and in 2018 were available in a limited-edition chocolate bar available exclusively at Coles, Australia.

Allen’s Freckles are manufactured by parent company Nestlé. In Nestlé Australia’s Gluten Avoidance PDF (found here), Allen’s Freckles are listed as being gluten-free and are therefore safe for Coeliacs to consume.
