Are Perri Italian Sausages Gluten Free?

Perri is a popular brand for Italian sausages in the United States and beyond. They are known for their delicious sweet and hot Italian sausages, going great with some peppers and onions.

‘When Raphael Perri brought his secret, 450-year old sausage recipe over to New Haven, CT in the 1930s, he sought the American Dream. At Perri, we’re proud to honor that heritage with a devotion to true Italian flavor, inspiring generations of Italian cooking to come.’ (source)

Let’s find out if these popular Italian sausages are free from wheat and gluten ingredients . . .

Are Perri Italian Sausages Gluten Free?

Yes, based on our research of the ingredients, we found all three variations of Perri’s Italian Sausages to be free from any wheat or gluten containing ingredients. However; Perri is owned by Johnsonville, and produces all of their sausages/products in the same factories. Therefore there is a risk of cross contamination or other contaminations, so keep that in mind if you have Celiac Disease or a gluten allergy.

I personally have tried both the Sweet and Hot Italian Sausages from Perri without ever having a reaction.
