Is Finch Whisky Gluten Free?

Finch Whisky is a German single malt whisky from the Swabian Alps. The distillery uses the largest pot still in Germany. The whisky is distilled from cereals grown on the distilleries own fields.

Let’s find out if this special whisky from Germany is free from wheat/gluten ingredients.

Is Finch Whisky Gluten Free?

NO

No, Finch Whisky is not gluten free. Finch Whisky is made from wheat, barley, and spelt and even though it is distilled it can still cause a reaction for people with Celiac Disease or a gluten allergy. The distillery shares this about the process: ‘Used are varieties like wheat, barley and spelt, but also rare varieties like emmer (amelcorn).’

Personal experience: I tried this without realizing it was made from wheat, and unfortunately had a reaction. It may not cause problems for everyone out there, but if you have Celiac Disease or a severe intolerance, definitely be careful with this whisky.
