Wendy’s is Testing Gluten Free Buns

There has been chatter around the web about some big news! Wendy’s, the American fast food chain known for their burgers and frosties, is reportedly testing gluten free buns at certain locations in Springfield, Missouri!

Here is everything we know about this!

Popular gluten free influencer PhilHatesGluten shared this video on TikTok about the news:

According to Phil, one of his followers confirmed they have tried it and they also have safety precautions for preventing cross contamination!! It appears they are using a very similar bun and safety techniques to Culver’s, who has been doing a fantastic job offering gluten free buns for YEARS! We love Culver’s here at GlutenBee. <3

GlutenFreePhilly on Instagram shared this post with even more previews of what it will look like!

Currently, Wendy’s does not offer a gluten-free bun at any of its locations. If you have Celiac Disease or a gluten intolerance, you probably haven’t been to Wendy’s in a little while! At least for anything other than the baked potatoes and frosties.

Some people order lettuce wrap or just remove the bun, but cross contamination is such a risk in fast food places.

Now that Wendy’s is testing these new buns, hopefully they will offer them nation wide. How awesome would it be to go back to Wendy’s again? What are your thoughts on the potential new gluten free bun at Wendy’s? Leave a comment below!
