Is Michelob Amber Max Gluten Free?

Michelob Ultra is a beer and alcoholic beverage brand that is owned and distributed by Anheuser-Busch InBev. Popular around the world, many people drink their products at bars, sporting events, and parties.

Anheuser-Busch InBev is a major multinational drink and brewing holdings company who also own and produce well know brands such as Budweiser, Bud Light, Corona, and Leffe.

Let’s find out if this Amber Max beer from Michelob is gluten-free . . .

Is Michelob Ultra Amber Max Gluten Free?

The Answer is: NO

According to Michelob: ‘Michelob ULTRA Amber Max brings full flavor and rich taste to a superior light beer. At only 99 calories, it uses a unique blend of oats, rye, and blue agave to craft a gluten-reduced light lager with maximum flavor. Enjoy big taste that’s brewed for the effortlessly bold.’

Unfortunately, based on their FAQ page, it doesn’t appear to be fully gluten free. It’s just gluten-reduced. The company states: ‘Amber Max is crafted to remove gluten and is brewed with oats, rye, and blue agave.’

It doesn’t actually state that the beer is gluten free or safe for people with Celiac Disease, so at this time we cannot recommend it for people strictly adhering to a gluten free diet.
