PDQ, also known as People Dedicated to Quality, is an up and coming fast food chain offering chicken tenders, waffle fries, sandwiches, salads, and more.
It all started in 2011 when founder Bob and Nick discovered a restaurant during a road trip that inspired them to start PDQ.
Here’s more of the story: “So they hit the road and (lucky for us) found just what they were looking for in North Carolina. A friendly down-home neighborhood joint called Tenders with the tastiest, freshest, made-from-scratch chicken tenders. They made a deal on the spot with mom and pop, and in 2011 opened the first PDQ in Tampa, Florida. Best road trip, ever.”
Let’s find out if this popular chicken tenders chain has gluten free options…

Summary of Gluten Free Menu Options at PDQ
Pro tips and a quick summary of everything gluten free at PDQ.
- When you order at the restaurant or online/in the app for delivery/pickup, tell them you have an allergy or Celiac Disease so they take precautions with your food.
- PDQ has a couple of grilled chicken options for people avoiding gluten. They also offer a large range of sauces and dressings which are all free from wheat/gluten.
- PDQ has low ratings on the Find Me Gluten Free app. After reading the reviews, this is mainly because they stopped offering gluten free waffle fries since adding breaded zucchini fries to their menu. The chain still offers gluten free grilled chicken tenders and nuggets.
- Personal experiences here are mixed! I love the chain and think it’s a great concept, but I only go for the sauces. I’d rather just cook chicken at home and eat it with their PDQ sauce or their bleu cheese dip. If I get the chance to try their grilled chicken next time Im near a PDQ, I’ll update this post.
