The company started in 1971 at Seattle’s Pike Place Market, but was later sold to Howard Schultz during the early 1980s.   • Syrups and other caramel flavored additives
  • Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso
  • Chocolate Malt Powder (any drinks that contain this will contain barley)

Pro tips and a quick summary of everything gluten free at Starbucks

  1. When you order at the store or even online, tell them you have an allergy or Celiac Disease so they take precautions with your drinks and food.
  2. Confirm ingredients as Starbucks’ menu changes often. Ask them if your drink contains wheat or gluten to be sure.
  3. The Pink Drink, Violet Drink, Star Drink, and Dragon Drink are all very popular and gluten free!
  4. Starbucks doesn’t have a ton of ratings on Find Me Gluten Free, but most ratings are good. People shared that they were able to get help from staff and staff were careful to clean equipment to assist them based on their allergies.
  5. Ask staff to switch out tongs, etc. when handling your food (egg bites or bakes)
  6. Starbucks has a lot of gluten free drinks options, but very few food options. If you’re hungry consider another place like Panera Bread
